Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you use papergeneral.com (the “Site”) and which limited technical data may be processed. The graph-paper tool itself runs entirely in your browser — we never receive your settings or the files you generate.
The Short Version
- No account, no uploads. All graph paper is generated locally in your browser; nothing you create is sent to us.
- No analytics or advertising scripts. We do not currently load analytics or ad-network code.
- We don’t sell your data and we don’t collect names, emails, or accounts.
- No account is required. The hosting provider may keep standard security and delivery logs.
1Who We Are & Scope
papergeneral.com is a free, single-page web tool that generates customizable, printable graph paper as PDF files. This policy applies to this website only. It does not cover any external sites we link to, which have their own privacy policies.
2The Tool Itself
The core function is fully client-side:
- You pick a grid type, spacing, colors, paper size, and orientation.
- The preview is drawn in your browser using the Canvas API.
- The PDF is built in your browser using the jsPDF library and saved directly to your device.
Your settings and generated files are never transmitted to or stored on any server we control. No login or personal information is required to use the tool.
3Information We Collect
We do not ask for or directly collect personal information such as your name or email. We do not currently use analytics or advertising services.
Server logs
Our host, Cloudflare Pages, automatically processes standard request data (such as IP address, requested URL, and timestamp) to deliver the Site and protect against abuse. This is a normal part of how the web works.
5Third-Party Services
The Site relies on the following providers. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare Pages — hosts and delivers the website and may process standard request and security logs. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — may receive a request from your browser when the site font loads. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
6Legal Bases (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, our legal bases for processing are:
- Legitimate interests — for basic server logs needed to deliver the Site securely and reliably.
7Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal data held about you;
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — note that we do not sell your personal information;
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because we don’t maintain accounts or directly identify visitors, most data is controlled through the third-party tools above — the opt-out links in Section 5 are the most direct way to exercise these choices. You can also contact us (Section 13).
8International Data Transfers
Our providers (Cloudflare and Google Fonts) are global and may process data on servers located in the United States and other countries. These companies rely on recognized safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, for international transfers.
9Data Retention
We do not store account or generated-paper data. Technical logs held by our hosting and font providers are retained according to their respective policies.
10Children’s Privacy
This tool is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11Do Not Track
PaperGeneral does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. We therefore do not respond separately to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
12Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised “Last updated” date at the top of the page.
